Over his 18 years of professional experience in design and construction, Craig Bacheller II has served as a Project Manager for several building typologies in a variety of capacities—leading design teams and their consultants to execute deliverables, serving as the day-to-day point of contact for clients, and coordinating presentations and planning submissions to authorities having jurisdiction. He has experience in new building design and construction, master planning, and existing building renovations.
Several of Mr. Bacheller’s recent projects have been residential, mixed-use, or corporate. For example, as Project Manager for the current luxury apartment tower 1401 Spruce Street in Pennsylvania, USA, he worked with the client to ensure that the adaptive reuse of a historic building would be approved by the Philadelphia Department of Licenses and Inspections. In June of 2013, he completed a corporate office building for Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation in East Hanover, New Jersey, USA.
Mr. Bacheller has also overseen some of Viñoly’s projects in the Middle East. In 2009, he served as Project Manager for the New York University Abu Dhabi Employer’s Requirements. This entailed translating the master plan completed by RVA in 2009 into a set of bid documents and performance specifications that would be used by the Design-Build contractor to implement the campus. During this process he led programming meetings at New York University in New York and developed specifications and led presentations and review sessions together with the Government of Abu Dhabi’s developer, Mubadala.
For the MGM Grand Complex in Abu Dhabi also for Mubadala, Mr. Bacheller managed the design and coordination of the infrastructural spaces for a complex of seven hotels and residences, including offices, service areas, laundry, food service, vertical cores, and mechanical spaces.
