Rolando Goldstein

Director

Rolando is an accomplished architect and Director at Rafael Viñoly Architects. He began his journey with a Diploma in Architecture from the University of Buenos Aires in 1990, marking the foundation of his professional career. A member of the Professional Council of Architecture and Urbanism since 1991, Goldstein initially established himself through a private firm where he served as Founder and Principal Architect until 2001. During this period, he garnered recognition for his participation in architectural competitions and the development of numerous residential buildings across Buenos Aires.

Goldstein first joined Rafael Viñoly Architects in 2001, where he undertook various roles over 15 years, including Designer, Project Director, and Construction Manager– all while working closely with Rafael Vinoly. His tenure was marked by significant contributions to luxury residential buildings, houses, laboratories, universities, convention centers, and museums across diverse global locations such as Buenos Aires, Punta del Este, and major cities in the USA. Rolando worked on notable projects such as the Princeton University Carl Icahn Laboratory, The Pennsylvania State University School of Information Science and Technology and the Millennium Science Complex, the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Janelia Research Campus, Edificio Acqua, the Cleveland Museum of Art, and the Duke University Nasher Museum of Art. From 2016 to 2023, Rolando founded an independent practice focusing on high-end private residences in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Montevideo, Uruguay. In 2023, Rolando returned to Rafael Vinoly as a Director, contributing his expertise to large-scale projects such as the Cipriani Ocean Resort and Club Residences, as he continues to exemplify his dedication and proficiency in the field of architecture.
