Jac Selinsky is an accomplished architect with over 16 years of experience in commercial and residential design, including more than 9 years at Rafael Viñoly Architects, where he has overseen large, complex projects. His expertise centers on the design and execution of buildings with intricate geometries, along with their structural and façade systems. Committed to architectural excellence, Jac excels in problem-solving and leads teams in collaboration with engineers, contractors, and manufacturers to create efficient, cohesive designs that integrate advanced building systems.
His technical expertise spans enclosure systems, structural design, code compliance, and construction oversight, which has made him a key figure in maintaining production quality and best practices at the firm. Jac is also highly proficient in digital documentation and Building Information Modeling (BIM), skills that allow him to lead teams through the organization and execution of complex projects, ensuring they are delivered successfully from concept through construction.
Among Jac’s notable projects is Amaris, a luxury residential high-rise in Washington, DC, where he served as project manager, overseeing the design team and consultants from schematic design through final construction. Part of a larger $3.6 billion phased development, Amaris includes luxury residential units, retail and dining spaces, and extensive amenities within a complex structure. Jac led the collaboration between architects, engineers, and manufacturers to coordinate design and building systems using BIM, ensuring seamless integration with the surrounding structures and landscape.
Currently, Jac is leading the design and construction of a luxury residential estate in South America, featuring organic geometries and sustainable materials such as mass timber and stone. His portfolio also includes the adaptive reuse of an historic department store in Manhattan redesigned into a luxury residential building, as well as key roles in projects like Three Waterline Square in Manhattan and One River Point in Miami.
Prior to joining Rafael Viñoly Architects, Jac served as a project architect at Sheehan Nagle Hartray Architects in Chicago, IL. Among several large-scale projects, Jac was responsible for the design, construction documents, and construction administration for the Facebook data center in Luleå, Sweden.
