A dedication ceremony held yesterday at the new Stanford Hospital, with more than 300 University leaders, key stakeholders, donors, and community members, marked the completion of the new state-of-the-art healthcare facility. The 824,000-square-foot, Rafael Viñoly Architects-designed, hospital is the culmination of over a decade of visionary planning and design by Rafael Viñoly Architects in collaboration with Stanford Medicine. The new hospital blends a human-centered approach to care with a razor-sharp focus on integrating technological advancements into every aspect of medical care delivery. Four acres of gardens, original art and sweeping views share the spotlight with state-of-the-art interventional operating and imaging suites, digitally driven patient rooms and access to a premier team of specialists from across Stanford Medicine. The facility doubles Stanford Health Care’s capacity for patient care and modernizes its ability to care for patients, advance discovery, and educate and train medical leaders of the future.
