Rafael Viñoly Keynote at Stanford University

This coming Friday, June 2nd, Rafael Viñoly FAIA JIA SCA IntFRIBA, will give the opening keynote at the Stanford Children’s Health and Stanford Health Care National Nursing Research Symposium at Stanford University in California. Now in its 8th year, the annual symposium highlights important research-related projects initiated and conducted by nursing and other clinical staff.

This year’s symposium will focus on the theme of “Creating a Healing Environment: From Designing Space to Delivering Care.” Rafael Viñoly will speak about the concept and design behind the New Stanford Hospital, a state-of-the art facility (currently under construction) that features a modular plan that can be easily adapted for a variety of uses and allows both for incremental expansion of the hospital building and a horizontal development strategy that complements the low-rise campus context of Stanford University and its Medical Center.
