Rafael Viñoly Architects Partner and Technical Director, Charles Blomberg was nominated and inducted to the Facade Tectonics Institute – College of Fellows this past October.
Blomberg brings extensive technical knowledge and skill to Rafael Viñoly Architects, where he leads the development of sustainable structural and enclosure innovations across a full range of building types and oversees all core- and shell-related issues, including curtain walls, roofing, precast, glass structures, skylights, and all other envelope types.
Founded in 2016, the Institute’s College of Fellows is composed of members elected by a jury of peers. Fellowship is one of the highest honors the Institute can bestow upon a member in recognition of their achievements in façade design, and their significant contributions to the architectural profession and to the Institute’s focus on healthy and livable communities.
