The New Stanford Hospital was honored with a 2020 Best Projects Award from Engineering News-Record (ENR) in the Health Care category – Northern California region. The project will now move on as a finalist for ENR’s Project of the Year and will be considered for ENR’s national Best of the Best Awards.
Designed by Rafael Viñoly Architects, the 824,000-square-foot hospital is a culmination of more than a decade of visionary planning and design that blends humanity with technology to revolutionize the patient experience. The seven-story medical building features 368 private rooms and state-of-the-art operating suites and is the only Level 1 Trauma Center between San Francisco and San Jose for adult patients.
