NEMA Chicago Wins CTBUH 2021 Audience Award

NEMA Chicago wins the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat’s (CTBUH) 2021 Audience Award in the Best Tall Building – Americas category.

The annual CTBUH Tall + Urban Innovation Conference and Awards program recognizes projects and individuals that have made extraordinary contributions to the advancement of tall buildings and the urban environment, and this was the first year in which conference delegates could cast their own votes for overall Audience Award category winners in real time alongside jurors in the judging of 160 projects from around the world.

NEMA Chicago, an 896-foot-tall tower designed by Rafael Viñoly Architects, is Chicago’s tallest rental residence and features unprecedented views of Lake Michigan, downtown skyline and Grant Park. The tower is made up of square structural bays of varying stacked heights, evoking the city’s famous Willis Tower.
