On July 20, 2023, the National Medal of Honor Museum topped out, marking a significant construction milestone. A special commemoration was held on-site for the hoisting of the final steel beam onto the building’s structure. Before its placement, the beam was signed by team members of the National Medal of Honor Foundation, project team, donors, supporters, and community members.
Located in Arlington, Texas, the Rafael Viñoly Architects-designed Museum will encompass over 100,000 square feet, featuring 31,000 square feet dedicated to Exhibition Galleries narrating the history of the Medal of Honor and the tales of the American heroes who valiantly earned it. Additionally, the Museum will house designated areas for classrooms, meeting spaces, symposiums, memorials, and ceremonies.
