This past Thursday, October 29, Rafael Viñoly participated in a webinar hosted by El Observador along with entrepreneur Martín Varsavsky and moderator Carina Novarese on the topic of ‘offices of the future.’ The webinar explored how the Covid-19 pandemic has impacted the way we work and where we work from; the challenges of adapting to virtual technologies and ever-changing health and safety restrictions; and how the pandemic prompts a reinvention of the workplace.
Viñoly also presented several Rafael Viñoly Architects-designed office projects, including Uruguay’s first Class A office building: Edificio Plaza Alemania, and the firm’s new headquarters in New York City, followed by his thoughts on the importance of flexibility in buildings and how the architecture and construction industries can innovate and evolve their approaches to better respond to the requirements of the future workplace.
