Rafael Viñoly passed away unexpectedly on March 2, 2023, two weeks before a scheduled conversation at the Center for Architecture for the recorded series, Person Place Thing with Randy Cohen. Rather than cancel the conversation, Rafael Viñoly Architects Director Román Viñoly took the occasion to reflect on the life and achievements of his late father.
