Rafael Viñoly Architects Partner Andrea Lamberti will participate in a panel discussion on September 20th at the Citizen Sustainability Summit in New York City, which is being held during the 77th Session of the UN General Assembly and Climate Week NYC.
The discussion, hosted by the Danish Association of Architectural Firms and in partnership with the AIA New York, will address two main themes: urban growth, city planning and sustainability, and how to transform cities successfully; sustainable buildings and how to reduce environmental impact to the built environment.
Exemplifying sustainability and transformation is The Rise (shown here). The Rafael Viñoly Architects-designed mixed-use project in Cupertino, California, features a 40-acre network of parks, plazas, playgrounds, pathways and trails that connect the community with nature and blurs the boundary between the natural environment, innovative architecture and sustainable design.
