The City Football Academy, Melbourne
A global partnership features advanced new training pitches for the Melbourne City FC’s first team, two elite youth team pitches, dedicated community pitches, world-class medical and sports science facilities and expansive office space.
As part of City Football Group’s global partnership with communities and universities worldwide, the Melbourne City Football Club has partnered with La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia, in the creation of an athletics and sports medicine center benefiting university students and the community, as well as professional football players and post-career professionals.
A transformation of an existing facility completed in the 1960s has been renovated and expanded in order to house all areas of the Club’s needs in Melbourne. Fitness and training areas encompass elite player changing rooms, conditioning gym, physical therapy and hydrotherapy spaces.
Administrative supporting spaces are also provided for over 50 staff as well as conference and media engagement spaces.
