277 Fifth, a 55-story residential tower in New York City, was honored earlier this year with an Award of Excellence in the ‘Best Tall Building – 200-299 meters’ category at the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat 2019 Awards. The project will now move forward to compete in the CTBUH awards program at the upcoming 2019 Tall+Urban Innovation Conference in Shenzhen, China, where over 60 teams of architects, engineers, owners and developers will present their respective projects to the juries of the program’s 17 categories. As part of the competition, Victor Group’s Asaf Shuster and Rafael Viñoly Architects’ Charles Blomberg will give a presentation on the planning and design behind 277 Fifth’s column-free interiors, multiple exposures per residence, and the vertical floor-to-ceiling windows that frame expansive views of the city.
