The London Evening Standard names Firstsite Colchester as one of ten galleries to visit outside of London this summer. The Rafael Viñoly Architects-designed visual arts facility is a bold, bright crescent-shaped building that rises from an innovative, shallow foundation system that protects the early Roman ruins over which it is built and anchors the revitalization of one of Colchester’s most historic districts.
