Harold Park AIA NCARB LEED AP

Director

Harold Park has over 15 years of expertise in facility planning and construction administration, along with large-scale project experience and master plans. Currently, he is Project Manager for the New Stanford Hospital, a complex project for which he oversees the design team and coordinates with the client and construction teams at the project office in Palo Alto, California, USA.

Mr. Park started on the New Stanford Hospital project from its initial design, developing a flexible building framework that could adapt to the advancing programmatic and technological needs over the lifespan of an academic medical center. His participation in meetings with hospital administration and end-users helped establish project goals of combining advanced healthcare technology with a comfortable environment for patients, families, and staff in a cohesive design. He also set project protocols for exchange of information through BIM to ensure that the design and permit documents were well coordinated at an early stage and could handle changes during the construction phase. This is essential to any complex project, particularly in California where permitting and inspection processes are rigorous.

Prior to this, Mr. Park was Project Manager through the Design Development of the Vdara Hotel & Spa, a 1,000-room condominium hotel at MGM MIRAGE CityCenter in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA and Project Architect for the Kimmel Center for Performing Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. He has gained significant construction and facilities knowledge through his work on the Kimmel Center, for which he contributed through all phases of design and implementation.

He also spent two years working in the firm’s London office, where he was Project Manager for the Curve Theatre. Applying his experience from the Kimmel Center, he led the project from schematic design through construction documents, working with the client, design team, and construction manager on all aspects of the project. As a result, Mr. Park is well-versed in United Kingdom architectural and construction techniques.
