Andrea Lamberti, Partner at Viñoly, joined a panel discussion at the Municipal Art Society’s Jane Jacobs Forum, moderated by renowned author and broadcaster, Laura Flanders. The panel featured leading women in the fields of architecture and planning, landscape architecture, development, community development, business and the arts: Deborah Cullinan of Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, Peggy Deamer of Yale School of Architecture, Gayle Farris or GB Farris Strategies Inc., Mary Miss of City as Living Laboratory, Laura Starr of Starr Whitehouse Landscape Architects and Planners, and Sheela Maini Søgaard of BIG Architecture, and Ms. Lamberti.
The lively discussion was centered on the theme of “Women as City Builders,” while also exploring several additional themes, including: Who Owns the City? What did Jane Jacobs teach us about communities, planning and plans. What’s changed?, and much more.
